Looking for a mentor? Have you ever thought about sharing your passion and interests with the world through your own cinematic expression? Are there simple stories you've always wanted to turn into short films? What are you waiting for? Launch your career as a modern filmmaker and discover the ins and outs of short film production with professional mentorship and hands-on experience.
In this intensive short film production mentorship experience, filmmaker Francisco Peres will lead two intensive weekends, providing students with a crash course in everything needed to create engaging short films ranging from one to ten minutes in length, across various styles, genres, and workflows. Students will learn the concepts and techniques involved in producing compelling short films, with a focus on visual storytelling and hands-on experience. The first weekend will consist of a group project, to be completed by the end of the first Sunday. During the week, participants will have one-on-one online mentoring sessions to discuss their individual projects. The second weekend will be dedicated to working on individual projects, which will be completed by the end of the second Sunday.

Prerequisites and Admission Requirements
This is a beginner level course and is well suited to anyone interested in producing short films.
Required Materials
Laptop or access to a computer with free professional video editing software DaVinci Resolve, camera or mobile phone with camera

- A laptop/desktop computer equipped with a single-core processor (processing speed of at least 1 GHz) or a smartphone/tablet with equivalent processing capabilities
- Good speakers/headphones for listening to lectures
