Program Description

The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning program, leading to an Attestation of Collegial Studies, is designed to train computer analysts and consultants to observe, analyze and solve problems. They work mainly for IT firms conducting advanced technological research, designing models or projects that improve existing industrial and residential processes.

Program Details

Completion of this program leads to an Attestation of collegial studies (AEC).

The AEC diploma is a qualification awarded in Quebec by CEGEPs and some private colleges following successful completion of a programme authorised by the Ministry of Higher Education, created specifically for an adult clientele and reflecting the current realities of the labour market.

 

Course Duration: 1590 hours

Internship: 180 hours

20 Months | 5 Academic Semesters including Internship

12 Months |  3 Academic Semesters including Internship Fast Track

Admission Requirements

Canadian Students

The program is intended for adults who meet the following conditions:

To be eligible for a program of study leading to an attestation of college studies, a person must have sufficient training, as determined by the college, and meet one of the following conditions:

  • Have interrupted full-time studies or pursued full-time post-secondary studies for at least 2 consecutive semesters or one academic year;
  • Be covered by an agreement between the college and an employer, or benefit from a government program;
  • Have interrupted full-time studies for one semester and pursued full-time post-secondary studies for one semester;
  • Hold a Secondary School Diploma (SSD).

 

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Mathematics Technico-Science sequence (064426) or Natural Sciences sequence (065426) in Secondary 4 or Culture, Society and Technology sequence (063504) in Secondary 5, or equivalent.

International Students

The program is intended for adults who meet the following conditions:

Technical Requirements

Starting with Fall 2024, Cestar Collège is implementing a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy.

Here are the minimum suggested technical requirements for laptops at Cestar Collège: 

The College has established that a Windows-based PC is required. Apple or Chromebook devices are not suitable for Cestar Collège programs.  The College provides registered students with wireless Internet access and access to O365 software downloads.
