This course is designed for learners with a good intermediate level of French (A2) who wish to reinforce their autonomy in everyday and professional situations.

All our language courses are designed according to the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), an international system that defines six levels of language proficiency ranging from A1 (beginner) to C2 (mastery). This framework ensures that your learning is structured, progressive and adapted to your specific needs, with clear objectives at each level. Thanks to this system, you'll be able to measure your progress and achieve real competence in everyday and professional situations. By following these levels, you'll be sure to develop your skills in a coherent, targeted way, while preparing for internationally-recognized certifications.

You will be able to express your ideas in more detail, talk about your experiences, understand complex discussions, and interact more naturally in professional or social situations. You will also learn to write longer texts (emails, letters, reports) and use more complex grammatical structures. In addition, you will improve your ability to argue, express detailed opinions, and understand long and specialized texts (articles, lectures, etc.). You will be able to write complex documents (reports, essays), negotiate, and speak with ease in professional or social discussions.

The Summer French course - Level B1 takes place over 20 hours, one to two hours per week, in group sessions and by distance learning. Courses are offered on Teams and take place on Montreal time (Eastern Daylight Time (EDT or UTC-4h))

To join this level B1 course, you need to have completed level A2 or possess oral and written comprehension and expression skills to tackle a variety of everyday situations

Yes, you'll receive a progress report at the end of the course, based on the criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
