The A1 course is designed for adult beginners who wish to learn a new language for personal or professional reasons. No previous knowledge is required.
All our language courses are designed according to the standards of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), an international system that defines six levels of language proficiency ranging from A1 (beginner) to C2 (mastery).
This framework ensures that your learning is structured, progressive and adapted to your specific needs, with clear objectives at each level. Thanks to this system, you'll be able to measure your progress and achieve real competence in everyday and professional situations.
By following these levels, you'll be sure to develop your skills in a coherent, targeted way, while preparing for internationally-recognized certifications.
You'll learn to communicate in simple situations: introducing yourself, talking about your work, asking basic questions, understanding short oral and written sentences, using common verbs, articles, adjectives and more.
The Summer French course - Level A1 take place over 40 hours, one to two hours per week, according to the schedule determined for each level, in group sessions and by distance learning. Courses are offered on Teams and take place on Montreal time (Eastern Daylight Time (EDT or UTC-4h)).
