Cestar Collège is a center approved and accredited by the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris Île-de-France to administer French assessment tests: TEF Canada and TEFAQ.
The TEF is an international benchmark test created in 1998 by the Paris Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This test is an international benchmark exam that measures the level of knowledge and skills in French.
Candidates are assessed on a scale of 6 levels ranging from level A1 (most basic skills) to level C2 (complete mastery). This scale corresponds to the 6 levels of proficiency (from A1 to C2) of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB).
The TEF consists of five tests: three multiple-choice tests with automated correction and written and oral tests assessed by two different markers/evaluators.
The TEF is a modular test. Depending on your goals and the steps you are taking, register for the version of the TEF that includes the tests you need.
Please note that for some versions of the TEF, the tests must be taken during the same session.
The TEF Canada and TEFAQ are French language assessment tests recognized by the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) for the CSQ (Certificat de sélection du Québec) and by CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) for federal immigration applications and the citizenship application process.
Candidates must wait 30 days between registrations, regardless of where the test is taken. If the 30-day period is not respected, the registration will be canceled.
Duration:
The computer-based test lasts approximately 2.5 hours, and the oral test is held on the same day at a time scheduled for each participant.
Objectives and Modules:
Depending on your objective (immigration, citizenship, studies, etc.), you must register for the version of the TEF that includes the required modules.
For some versions of the TEF, the modules must be taken during the same session.
