Starting with Fall 2024, Cestar Collège is implementing a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy. This means that students will use their own laptops (meeting the minimum requirements listed below) for all the classes they will attend during the course of the program.
This policy is aimed at creating an optimized and comfortable learning environment for the students as they will be working with a familiar personal device and there is no learning curve or acclimatization period associated with new devices.
In addition, using their own personal device provides students with an improved learning experience as they can access their course materials anytime, given the multiple learning options that the school offers (onsite, online or hybrid).
Furthermore, the limited need for school provided devices reduces waste and contributes to a sustainable and eco friendly environment!
Here are the minimum suggested technical requirements for laptops at Cestar Collège:
The College has established that a Windows-based PC is required. Apple or Chromebook devices are not suitable for Cestar Collège programs. The College provides registered students with wireless Internet access and access to O365 software downloads.
